My dad asked me to accompany him for his Monthly Electrical Inspection at Kuala Terengganu. This is my 1st journey to East Coast after 4 years studying in UK. We started our journey early in the morning. Driving from KL to Terengganu takes about 3-4 hours depending on how fast you drive. The new highway was built from Karak, straight to Jabur and that saved traveling time.
We stopped for a few Inspection sites near Kertih and Marang. We reached Terengganu at around 6.00 pm. We managed to get a room at Batu Buruk Resort for the price of RM100. The room was good enough for me, as it gave the view of the beach.
My interest was to take pictures of the Crystal Mosque. Crystal Mosque is located at Taman Tamadun Islam of Pulau Wan Man. The direction is to drive along to Losong, you will pass by the museum and drive straight to Taman Tamadun Islam. The mosque is located at the end of the road. At night, the Mosque change color every few minute. From blue to red, yellow, green, it’s look like a light show.
I walked along the way to the jetty to capture the panoramic view. I was so psyched with the Mosque color change. I took out my tripod for a slow shutter picture. While I off mounted the tripod, the screw pad that de-attach to the camera just fell off to the river. I was far away from the edge, and still it just fell into the water.
The day after, I woke up early in the morning. I was aiming for a sunrise shot. I have always wanted to capture the big ball of fire at sunrise. I managed to get one in this trip to the east coast of Malaysia. This is my best capture so far. I never knew that the sun will appear like a round ball only for a few minute, after that it will merge with the sky as bright light.
The next trip was to go to Pasar Payang or known as Central Market. Pasar Payang is located by the Terengganu River. The picture shown variety of kain batik. The price is varies from RM10 to RM45, depend on how good is your price negotiating skills. Beside Batik, Pasar Payang is also famous for local handicrafts like brassware, brocade and songket. There are also wet market that sells fresh fruits, vegetables and fish, or even the local delicacies such as the Keropok Lekor.

On my way back from Pasar Payang, I managed to capture the best landscape of Terengganu which is the boat, the beach, and the blue sky. This is the passenger boat that will take from the main land to Pulau Duyung. At Pulau Duyung, there is a traditional boat construction place which crafted by a highly skilled craftsmen.
My journey at Kuala Terengganu ended here, as my dad was rushing to meet his client for electrical inspection. Hope you guys enjoy my writing. I will revisit Kuala Terengganu again with more details shot.
