18 & 19 April 2009 – 2nd FMDC camp was held at Warisan Rimba Kg. Kemensah. There were 35 photographers participated in the camp. The camp was called Back to Basic. The main objective to learn the very basic of the photography. As the famous photography quotes ”Art of Photography is all about understanding light”

6.15pm – 7.00 pm – Basic Composition (Simplicity, The rules of thirds, Lines, Balance, Framing, Avoiding mergers)

From all the submitted photos, here are my best 2 photos highlighted by the panel.
Tranquility – Reading Yaseen Surah the Heart of the Qur’an.
Super Creative – Break the rules of third, bokeh, shadow and portrait.
My pictures were voted for the best Super Creative photo. This is my 1st award ever in photography. Yeayy !

This camp is the best. I don’t mind attending any basic photography course as the most fundamental of photography is to understand the basics. Any good photo must start from the basic composition, as most of the participant need this guidance. From a strong basic, we can decide what is the next level because there is a lot of roots in photography.
Thank you to all photo critics’ comments, it really helped develop my photography skills. Also thank you to the organiser, senior photographer, and participants. Without the best support from everyone this event wont be a success. I salute all of you. I hope there will be another camp for intermediate level next time.
