After carefully watching review from CollectionDX. I have finally decided to get this Masterpiece Edition of Beta/Tread Fighter. The toy production was on 2007 and it’s a long waiting toy list for Mospeada fans.
Toynami’s Masterpiece Collection continues with the long-awaited Beta Fighter! This fully transformable collectible converts from Fighter mode to Battloid mode, and attaches to the previously released Masterpiece Alpha Fighter to create an impressively large fighter craft!
The Mospeada Robotech is available in three colours, red, blue and green. The new latest color, is black for the stealth version. And Limited edition Maya Sterling “Purple Color”. If I’m not mistaken there are still Red Beta fighter (Masterpiece Toynami) at Berjaya Timesquare’s toy shop. I’ll guess there are not many Mospeada Fans around KL. or maybe simply because it was damn expansive.

After 2 weeks since ordering online, I received a letter from POS Malaysia KLIA saying that I need to declare my parcel as it had finally arrived at KLIA. Custom tax was RM116.00, 10% for government tax and 5% for parcel value. You have to open the parcel yourself in front of the custom officer.
Grand total for the item = RM 573.55 (Item + shipping)
Government Tax = RM 116.00
Total = RM 689.55 ouch !
The process of declaration was easy, you can’t get a discount or negotiate. Just pay ! I drove back home, and can’t wait to open it. It’s a huge box. The body is solid not as fragile as the Alpha Fighter. This is the best Toynami build so far. Construction of the Beta is impressive. It is fully pose able. It transform into three configurations, Fighter Mode, Battloid Mode and VTOL Mode. It is a sturdy die-cast and plastic construction and also comes with Trademark “book-style” packaging.
The Tread is a legend in Japanese toy circles; a previous Tread toy was never mass produced in quantity and is one of the rarest Japanese toys around.
When I bought the Legioss a few years back while I was in Leeds, and didn’t expect Toynami will be producing extend booster for the Legioss.
There are another production called CMs which build Alpha & Beta fighter in the same box. But it is incompareable with the Toynami’s detail.
